[PAM] the Perpetual Art Machine was founded in New York in January 2006 by the artists Chris Borkowski, Aaron M. Miller, Raphaele Shirley and Lee Wells in collaboration with Alexis Hubshman, president of the Scope Art Fair. Through the use of the robust open source community portal software (Joomla) , streaming video technologies and custom software developed in MAX/MSP and Jitter. [PAM] has rapidly become a growing video art portal on the internet. Since its first installation in at the Scope New york art fair in March 2006 [PAM] has grown into a community of more than 600 artists from over 100 countries and consists of over 1000 video art works. [PAM] is a fusion of interactive art, video art, and sound art.

Perpetual Art Machine is a community for video artists, curators, writers, therorists, educators, collectors, and enthusiasts. Perpetual Art Machine is an on line gallery and database of video art. Perpetual Art Machine is a traveling video installation.
The website feeds interactive installation machines. Both the database and video content work together at exhibition venues displaying works simultaneously and individually. The works play off each other, informing each other by association or differenciation, highlighting through the display system their individual qualities.
