Perfect From Now On was the third full-length album released by Built to Spill. It was also the band's first major label (Warner Bros.) release. At the time the album was recorded, Built to Spill consisted of singer/guitarist Doug Martsch, guitarist Brett Netson, bassist Brett Nelson, and drummer Scott Plouf. The band had to record the album three times, the third time because of damage to the master tapes. Perfect From Now On was released to widespread critical acclaim in 1997.
