Percy Rodriguez
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Percy Rodriguez (born June 13, 1924 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a character actor who has appeared in countless television shows and films from the 1950s to the 1980s. He is probably most recognized for his role as Commodore Stone in the Star Trek episode Court Martial. His surname is sometimes spelled Rodrigues.
Despite being of Afro-Latin American descent, Rodriguez managed to avoid the stereotypical roles typically given to Black and Latino actors at the time. His authoritative voice and articulate speaking manner helped Rodriguez to be cast usually as intelligent authority figures. He has also narrated numerous movie trailers and documentaries.
