Perama (Greek: Πέραμα) is a port city and a suburb of Athens that lies on the southwest edge of the Aegaleo mountains. It creates the western terminus of the Port of Piraeus (Athens' port). Houses lie within the sea. It also has the port to Salamis only 1 km away from the island. Ferry services continue. The city has only one main road connecting Lambrakis and Ralli Avenues, along with the rest of Athens. Much of the community is rocky and mountainous.

Perama has schools, lyceums, gymnasia, banks, a police station a post offic, a secondary soccer team named Peramaikos and squares (plateies).
