People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU) is a political party in Uzbekistan which was founded in October 1991 after the Communist Party of Uzbekistan voted to cut its ties with the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and change it's name to PDPU. The has been led by President Islom Karimov since it's foundation.
