The People's Democracy-Christian Democratic Union (Democracia Popular-Unión Demócrata Cristiana) is a political party in Ecuador of the Christian Left. At the last legislative elections, 20 October 2002, the party won 4 out of 100 seats. It was Ecuador's largest political party, having won 35% of the seats in the 1998 elections to the Congreso Nacional.
The party describes its economic platform as communitarian socialism. It calls for workers to own the means of production, and for production to be "oriented to human needs rather than the market."
