The category should not really exist. All actual Assamese should be moved to Category:Assamese people while those who are not Assamese should be moved to respective cats like Category:Bengali people, Category:Tripuris and the like.Bakaman Bakatalk 01:28, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Disagree. This category is based on the state-wise categorization of India. Ethnic categorization is a sensitive and separate issue. What if we decided to categorize people according to their castes? Chaipau 15:49, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
