[edit] Necessary Information?

"It is also possible that the glowing eyes are that of the monstrosity Cthulhu from H.P. Lovecraft's short story The Call of Cthulhu; this has been suggested because of the mention of Lovecraft's name in the original Penny-Arcade post on the game."

Is this bit about the eyes in the promo possibly belonging to Cthulhu really necessary? It seems almost silly, or an off-handed association. PaZuZu 03:13, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Seems like original research, I can't find any cite for it... Maracle 08:36, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

While it does seem like original research, there are countless Penny-Arcade references to the Cthulhu. If a source can be found, I consider it relevant info CKnapp 09:24, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

IMO it does look to be the Fruit Fucker. At the bottom it says "I'm coming", which you could also see in one of their comics. Also, in a news post, Gabe says "Is this just a shirt, or is it’s a terrifying vision of our future?", which could be a reference to the game. --Lord Kelvin 00:22, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Considering recent art of OTRSPOD have shown an ancient Fruit Fucker with simliar eyes, as well as Fruit Fucker being depicted in many "recent" works with simliar eyes, I think it's fair to say that the eyes are soley meant to reflect on the Fruit Fucker. The Title however the title seems to have ties to Lovecraft (although I always just attributed it towards Hokins talent for wordplay)24.17.214.242 03:44, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Source material

I added external links to a press release, a comic, and 2 blog entries regarding this game. That plus the Kotaku article already in the external links section are good source material to expand this stub. No time to do it now, I'll try to get back to it but if anyone else feels the urge =) Maracle 08:36, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Platforms

Any chance it will be availavle in the PSN shop or Xbox Live Marketplace? I don't do much computer gaming, but love PA, if it ends up on a console, even though they don't seem to like the PS3, I'm still hoping there's a possibility. (But if it goes to Xbox and not PS3, I'll just be pissed) Midgitboy 16:31, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Just a note, these are pages are typically for talking about the article. While your question is of merit for the article, it was phrased in far less "encyclopedic" way. And, no I cannot answer your question, sorry. ;) CKnapp 08:18, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

You need to make it "encyclopedic" in the talk section too? I thought it was for asking/talking about the subject the page is about Midgitboy 15:22, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

The talk page is about the article. So, discussions regarding possible platforms are relevant to the article (thus, belong on talk page), but your post is a bit more of a forum post. Hope that helps.
That being said, since they are releasing the game as episodic downloads, I would expect that it would be a PC only game. They could release it through the XBox/PS3 stores as well, but I find it unlikely. CKnapp 20:50, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Alright, thanks, and sorry about my style of writing, I'm a bit of a forum junkie... -Midgitboy 15:52, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
