Pentagonia is a multiple international award-winning board game. On the market since 1998, it was one of 25 products in the world to be recommended by the American National Association for Gifted Children in their 2002 Holiday toy list. Played on a pentagon shaped playing surface, the rules of this 9 Men's Morris derived strategy game are simple enough for a bright 5 year old to understand. However, with a negligible first move advantage, and leaping or flying game phases, enough thinking can go into a Pentagonia game to keep PhD's entertained. The board game appeals to a wide cross section of interests, but pre-teens, early teens, and university students find it especially appealing.
