Penobsquis, New Brunswick

Penobsquis (2001 pop.: 1,382) (IPA pronunciation: [pɛnɑbskwɪs]) is a Canadian village in New Brunswick.

Located east of Sussex, the village is the site of a major potash deposit and is home to the New Brunswick division of the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan where it operates a mine.

The village also hosts several natural gas wells which feed a pipeline currently under construction. Other attractions include the Plumweseep covered bridge and the Animal Land Park, which showcases a variety of cement sculptures.
