A penny war is a war that many people participate to yearn money for a cause. First of all you need two or more buckets or cans of some kind(each representing a different group or cause. Every person is allowed to put pennies in the bucket or can that they represent. They are also able to put coins or dollar bills that are worth more than a penny into other groups buckets. If you do get coins worth more than a penny put into your bucket it is subtracted from the amount of pennies that you have in your bucket.

(It is always good to make sure that your group has a big bucket)!

Nobody knows how penny wars came around. They are, though, mainly used in fundraising for school projects or charity.
