Pendens (Chinese elm cultivar)

The Chinese Elm U. parvifolia cultivar Pendens was listed by Rehder in Jour. Arnold. Arb. 26: 473, 1872 as U. parvifolia f. pendens, and described as having long, loosely pendulous branches. The cultivar originated in California before 1930 from seed received from China, but is not known to have been commercially released.
