Pendas Fields

Pendas Fields is a private, suburban housing estate in Leeds, West Yorkshire. It is a pleasent area, and is considered part of Cross Gates, as is Manston. Swarcliffe is close, and Cock Beck runs nearby.
Pendas Fields and Barnbow Wood may have been the site of the Battle of Winwaed in 655AD (thus the name "Pendas fields" named after the King of Mercia who died at the battle, Penda), and has its own sports centre and school - John Smeaton Community High School.
