[edit] Requested move

The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the debate was PAGE MOVED per discussion below. -GTBacchus(talk) 01:46, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Per-Eric LindberghPelle Lindbergh — This is by far the most commonly used name for this person. The article was originally created under "Pelle", but was recently moved and cannot be simply moved back. Gene Nygaard 19:57, 12 February 2007 (UTC) added on behalf of nominator Andrewsc with his reasons from WP:RM.

[edit] Survey - in support of the move

  1. Support as nominator. "Pelle" is by far the most common name for this person, and would be the most likely name for a search string. There are many, many, precedents on Wikipedia for articles to be found under the common name instead of the "official" name. Andrwsc 20:43, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
  2. Support per nominator (actually Andrwsc, not me; I just added discussion template so I could respond). This one of a series of bad moves by User:SndrAndrss who is either inconversant with the naming convention rules, or else ignores them. Gene Nygaard 20:01, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
  3. Support per nominator --Krm500 21:43, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
  4. Support per nom. Prolog 00:23, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Survey - in opposition to the move

[edit] Discussion

Add any additional comments:

I had tried to revert the SndrAndrss two-part move piecewise before I saw Andrewsc had started the requested move, getting it back to Per-Erik Lindbergh but not to Pelle, so moved it back to where it was when Andresc started this request. It is the recent moves by SndreAndrss which are being objected to, and in case of lack of consensus, it is the long-standing name Pelle Lindbergh which should be the default name.
