Talk:Pelham Bay, Bronx
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I created and uploaded the map on the main page which includes Country Club as part of Pelham Bay. Does anybody agree/disagree with this assessment? I figure if Fieldston can be part of Riverdale, then Country Club can be part of Pelham Bay. EJ220 00:49, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
I think Country Club should certainly be considered part of Pelham Bay, at least the part that is near Pelham Bay Park. It does sort of fade off into Throggs Neck but the northern part is surely part of Pelham Bay. (Biochemike 02:49, 19 March 2007 (UTC))
- Thank you for your response! This question occurred to me when I noticed a church called the Pelham Bay Assembly of God on Ampere Avenue. Even before then, I had always wanted to group Country Club into Pelham Bay, but I wasn't sure if this was correct. I was walking in the area today and I definitely think you are right - Country Club is just a nicer part of Pelham Bay the way Fieldston is a nicer part of Riverdale. On a less superficial level, Country Club does seem to be very similar to Pelham Bay west of I-95.
- Moving to the West Bronx - what's your opinion on Fordham and University Heights? I ask because I'm planning on launching a website that gives an accurate neighborhood map of the five boroughs along with photos of each neighborhood. -EJ220 05:03, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

- I am not as familiar with that part of the Bronx but my general feel of it is that Fordham and University Heights have always been considered distinct neighborhoods (and a quick search online seems to show the same thing) (Biochemike 04:20, 4 April 2007 (UTC))
- What search online did you do? -EJ220 22:32, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
