Pelo Suelto is the signature song of Gloria trevi. The song came out in 1991 in the album Tu angel de la guarda. It became her most succesful song and toped all the latin charts. Pelo suelto was written by Mary Morin who wrote many songs for Gloria Trevi. It means "lose hair" and fit perfectly with her style. Pelo suelto was also made into a movie and became a box office hit. It has been the most succesful mexican movie up to date. Following pelo suelto came two more succesful movies Zapatos Viejos and Papa sin catsup also becoming box office success.
