Peggy A. Nash (born June 28, 1951 in Toronto) is a federal Canadian politician with the New Democratic Party. She was first elected to the House of Commons in the 2006 Canadian federal election representing Parkdale—High Park, after having finished second in a close race in 2004 behind then-incumbent Sarmite Bulte of the Liberal Party.

Prior to her election, Nash was a long-time assistant to Buzz Hargrove at the Canadian Auto Workers Union. Hargrove's controversial decision to support strategic voting against the Conservative Party of Canada displeased Nash, as such behaviour would limit the number of votes the NDP received during the 2006 election. It is also possible that Hargrove's stance may have influenced Bulte's win in 2004, which many had predicted Nash would win.

In 2006, Nash was one of the most vocal opponents to the appointment of Gwyn Morgan as chairman of the new public appointment commission. [1]

Also in 2006, NOW Magazine named Nash the "Best MP" in Toronto. [2]
