Peggy Jay

Peggy Jay (born 1912) is a retired English Labour Councillor.

Mrs Jay led a long political career with the British Labour Party and served as a local councillor. She was long married to the politician Douglas Jay, before their marriage was dissolved. Their son Peter Jay is a leading economist and a former British Ambassador to the United States and their daughter is married to Rupert Pennant-Rea, a former deputy Governor of the Bank of England.
