The Pegaso Troner was the last and most powerful range of Pegaso trucks.

It made its debut in the 1987 Barcelona Motor Show, as a 4x2 articulated truck tractor featuring a 12-litre 360hp Pegaso engine and a new cab, available in four different sizes, developped jointly with Dutch DAF truck maker, and personalized to Pegaso look by Italian designer Giugiaro.

Troner engines power was later boosted to 370 and 400hp, while the range expanded to 4x2, 6x2 and 8x2 rigid and 4x2 and 6x4 articulated models, with an artic 6x2 special conversion for the British market also available.

The Troner was Enasa's last effort to keep pace with the European truck market leaders, but did not avoid the company to lose market share and money and eventually to be taken over by Iveco group. Nevertheless Troners were successful in Spain and got appreciable sales figures in the Benelux, UK and France.

Troner production ended in July 1993.
