[edit] Eritrea

I want to have this page nominated for a feature article. It is a very comprehensive article. It seems to be well written but I would like to see what others think first. Merhawie 23:40, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Please provide WP:CITE information for references/footnotes. See also WP:CITE/ES; templates like {{Cite web}} and {{Cite book}} may be useful here.
  • I'm pretty confident that paper sources can be found for this article.
  • Generally, trivia sections are looked down upon; please either remove the trivia section or incorporate any important facts into the rest of the article.
  • This article may be a bit list-weighty; in other words, some of the lists should be converted to prose (paragraph form).
  • There are a few sections that are too short and that should be either expanded or merged. For example, Culture is/are a bit short.
  • Merge languages into Demographics
  • Per WP:CONTEXT and WP:MOSDATE, months and days of the week generally should not be linked (Don't link September or Tuesday unless there is really good reason to). Years, decades, and centuries can be linked if they provide context for the article.
  • You may wish to browse through User:AndyZ/Suggestions for any further ideas.

    • In response to Andy's point about dates: This task is easier with the aid of a 'dates' tab in edit mode. Simply copy the entire contents of User:Bobblewik/monobook.js to your own monobook. Then follow the instructions in your monobook to clear the cache (i.e. press Ctrl-Shift-R in Firefox, or Ctrl-F5 in IE) before it will work. You will also get a 'units' tab. Hope that helps. bobblewik 19:02, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
