NOte 19 Feb 2007: I have made some wholly inadequate updates today, as I retained some things which really should be reviewed, but I think the article was improved somewhat by consolidating his academic and career path and not having it broken up by the slightly toned-down "CONTROVERSY" Section. The piece deserves more attention, hopefully in a collaborative effort.
