There is a fashion show going on in the jungle, hosted by Gaspar Le Gecko, though most of the jungle denizens feel that Gaspar is just hosting it to give his new girlfriend, Gabriella, a crown. However, upon seeing Brandy walking as she always does, some believe that she could actually be capable of winning the show, though Brandy isn't interested in the contest because she already knows she is the most beautiful. However, when she learns that the prize for winning the contest is a vacation in Palm Beach, she changes her mind and enters the contest, which Gabriella mocks her for, though Brandy feels that she has little to worry about since Harrington’s are naturally born with grace and elegance. Back at the tree house, Brandy is getting ready for the pageant by getting out her Harrington Beauty Kit, in which has everything essential to making someone look their best, from a book about how to behave at social gatherings to makeup and so forth. However, when Brandy pulls out her Family Tree, Mr. Whiskers grabs it, which after he and Brandy fight over rips in half which reveals a letter. Brandy reads the letter and it turns out to be an adoption certificate, which indicates that she is a mixed breed who was adopted into the Harrington lineage, so she is nothing more than a common mutt. Brandy then begins to act like a mutt, she starts sleeping on the ground, eating from a bowl on the ground, scratching herself in a manner that a dog would and she just gives up on her old self. That is, until Mr. Whiskers tries to convince her to return to her old self and get her ready for the beauty pageant. Mr. Whiskers tries to use the book that came in Brandy’s kit to try to get her ready for the competition, though when Gabriella comes and mocks Brandy for being a stray dog, and the fact that Brandy just ignored her without making a snappy comeback, Mr. Whiskers goes home because he hopes Brandy will get out of the situation herself. However, the next day he takes Brandy out for a walk, since Brandy still considered herself a common mutt, and he took her to the beauty pageant, to much shock of the jungle denizens who saw Brandy in such a condition. Mr. Whiskers decides to get Brandy out of her state by proving she is still who she always was, in which he uses his own earwax to disgust Brandy until she returned to normal. After Brandy is back to being a Harrington, and right before Gabriella is crowned, Brandy gets on stage wearing a new outfit and she begins to walk down the catwalk striking poses. She and Gabriella get into a battle of poses, until Brandy wins by striking a glamorous post while Gabriella gets a cramp. However, when Brandy finds that the vacation to Palm Beach was just to a beach in the Amazon, she was upset, though her friendship with Mr. Whiskers was much better and they returned home.
