PeCo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PeCo is the unit of measurement of the dielectric properties of concrete.

The dielectric constant of concrete is about 4.5, but changes with time, as concrete hydrates, and with changes in formulation and/or ingredients. In 2006, Hydronix Ltd, a UK-based microwave moisture measurement equipment manufacturer, invented the TitanCSM, an electrotechnical device, which enabled the measurement of the complex dielectric properties of concrete for the first time.

The unit of PeCo is derived from the 2 elements of the dielectric constant, Permittivity and Conductivity.
