G. Pearson is also the name of Greg Pearson, an American musician who recorded the A Thousand Years soundtrack (2004) and the Gomco Earthmovers EP (2005). G. Pearson began as a guitarist and has said The Edge is his primary musical influence as a guitarist. He has also mentioned Justin Broadrick of Godflesh and Jesu, Adam Jones of Tool, John Frusciante, Johnny Marr, Joy Division, John Squire, some of Brian Eno's short instrumental pieces, Alex Lifeson, Dave Navarro, Jimi Hendrix, Gabor Laufer, and W.A. Mathieu as important musical influences. He is also known to have a strong interest in natural disasters such as tornadoes,himself and tsunami, psychodynamic theory, and Michael Shermer's books.
