Talk:Peace Train
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I deleted this paragraph: "Unlike many of his other songs, Stevens deems "Peace Train" still acceptable because it has a positive, moral message." Wikipedia is not the place for you to write song reviews or pass judgment on how "moral" or "positive" a given song's message is perceived to be. If you have a source stating that Cat Stevens actually said this, please cite it. Otherwise, don't include your personal opinion here. 66.17.118.207 14:09, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- I've reinstated it as it seemed a reasonable summary of Stevens's/Islam's attitude to the song in the context of his career, and added a supporting link. I read this sentence as concerning the author's perception of the 'message'. Editors make factual judgements about 'perceptions', but not potentially subjective ones about morals. Please WP:assume good faith. --Cedderstk 09:34, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
