Pearl in Vegas.

Pearl is the newest girl on the scene character in the rock musical Starlight Express. She's young, beautiful yet a bit slow when it comes to what truly matters. She has only one goal: find the best of the best! Rusty is madly in love with her but when he asks her to race with him, she accepts but then later turns him down. She first races with Electra and then, with Greaseball after he dumps Dinah. When they crash with CB and Electra, she gets hurt and limps off. When she finds Rusty, she realizes that he has been the one for her all along.

Pearl sings "A Lotta Locomotion" with the other coaches plus two solo songs: "He'll Whistle at Me" and "Make Up my Heart." She also sings a duet with Rusty - "Only You" or "Next Time You Fall In Love", depending on the production.

Pearl on Ice

Originally, in the 1984 London production, Pearl's outfit was a combination of hot pink with black. But later the costume changed to an off white pink color. Her hair is either pink or the natural color of the actress who is playing her. She used to wear a small skirt during the early years but they changed her outfits to make her seem more slim. Before the change, she wore a small skirt that covered her legs slightly.

On Starlight on Ice, Pearl's colors changed as well as her whole outfit design. There is no pink but only gray and blue. She wears a skirt but it's much shorter than in the original productions. She wears gloves that look like metal frames and wears a small hat.
