Peakhurst Public School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peakhurst Public School (often abbreviated as PPS) is a primary school located in Peakhurst, New South Wales, Australia. It is located on Bonds Road and Bailey Parade, though several houses occupy the corner of the 2 streets. The school contains 2 main areas: the infants building (Kindergarten to Year 2) and the primary building (Year 3 to Year 6).

Within a small area of the school is also a preschool named Attunga Cottage. The preschool also supervises some students before and after school ("before-school care" and "after-school care").

Established in 1871, the school was originally located on the corner of Bonds Road and Forest Road. In 1929, the school was re-established on a larger land area on Bonds Road, down the road from the original site.

Many graduating students from Peakhurst Public School move on to Peakhurst High School or Hurstville Boys High School.

The school offers special education classes. The school is not wheelchair accessible.
