[edit] Basic Information

Peak to Peak is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and it's 2005-2006 senior class had the highest ACT score average (25.0) for all of BVSD, and the third-highest for the entire state of Colorado.

[edit] The Respect Wall

The Respect Wall, or 'The Wall' as many students have come to call it, was assembled during the 2005-2006 school year as a tribute to respect. The 6-12 students painted small designs they considered respectful or reflected respect on white clay tiles which were subsequently glued to the wall's surface. Many symbols, such as those with any religious affiliation (excluding Christianity) were excluded from the gluing process and were thrown away; in addition, many tiles promoting socialism and communism are on The Wall, such as one that depicts a socialist fist breaking through a brick wall, as well as one with a Soviet and American flag position behind two multi-colored men shaking hands. There are also several tiles depicting, in some fashion or other, the Rising Sun flag of the Japanese military in World War II (no less than 12), and many that have people of different colors embracing in some fashion or other. Less than a year later, the wall has proved to have inadequate construction for Colorado's cold weather. The south wall's tiles have been removed and are due to be re-glued in the summer months. The north wall's tiles remained glued to the wall's surface throughout winter and many of them are beginning to chip and crack, destroying the design upon its surface.
