Peak Eight

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peak Eight is a popular tourist destination in Breckenridge, Colorado. Rising up to an altitude of over 12,000 feet, this mountain is a skier's paradise. In the summer most snow is melted except for the very top. In winter it is not uncommon for snow accumulation levels to be several feet deep. The town has around 2,000 permanent residents although that population doubles or even triples in winter and summer due to tourism. Skiing is the main attraction in winter and biking and hiking are popular in summer.
