[edit] Sources for Sort in-place

Hello, good work on Sort in-place, and thanks for the contribution. However, you did not provide any references or sources in the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. From what websites, books, or other places did you learn the information that you added to Sort in-place? Would it be possible for you to mention them in the article? You can simply add links, or see WP:CITET if you wish to review some of the different citation methods. Thanks!  BRIAN0918  03:23, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Bob Anderson (darts player)

Hi - don't worry about the afd on Bob Anderson. The way the article was written, it was a likely candidate for afd - I certainly wouldn't say it was vanity on your part. If I have any advice it would be to have a quick look on google to see if there is a real story behind what looks worthless.

Quite a lot of the time afd is a challenge for some of us editors to try to save articles which probably could be encyclopedic with some work. You'll find that about one in ten articles undergoes a major overhaul if it's put on afd (which is just as good a thing as deleting a truly worthless article).

Anyway, it's good to see another new editor becoming involved in community projects and activities like afd - hope you enjoy it here on wikipedia! Grutness...wha? 10:16, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Elwood Buchanan

Hi. You recently voted to delete the Elwood Buchanan article. I've since done quite a bit of work on it and wondered if you might like to give it another look. Thanks. Perodicticus 18:16, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sheffield pubs

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that, even though I nominated this article for deletion, I have decided to see if it is possible to save it. I have been through the article removing all of the POV and review-like elements and I have started to expand the rest. With a lot of cleanup I think that it could be saved (although I don't think that it is there yet). Anyway, please take another look at the article and see if my edits change your opinion on the article. Thanks, JeremyA 03:24, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Afd

re: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dissident Voice (second nomination)

I just to wanted to let you know that your vote and your comment appear to be contradictory It was me that nominated this particular article for deletion. Just thought you might want to re-read your vote. Thanks. Ste4k 09:31, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of beat 'em ups undeletion request

I have nominated List of beat 'em ups to be undeleted, under the reasoning that it is not redundant to the category; it contains many games which are not covered by the category, and may never be able to be covered by it. In addition, the list can do more than the category. It can put date, developer, release date, system, et al., useful especially for articles that would be difficult to create an article for. I hope that you will vote on this and hopefully support its undeletion, on the basis that it does something that makes it not redundant to the category. [edit] Image:TAMU Logo.png listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:TAMU Logo.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. [edit] Uncategorized articles

Please be aware that putting a stub marker on an article, as you did with Adobe PhotoDeluxe, isn't good enough - please put in an actual category. Stub categories are Wikipedia maintenance categories, not subject categories. Eli Falk 11:50, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:221b game box.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:221b game box.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
