Skyhouse is a small egalitarian, intentional community, which is part of the larger ecovillage of Dancing Rabbit in rural Missouri.
Skyhouse is a member of the Federation of Egalitarian Communities, which seeks to support communities that share their income collectively and value common ownership of land and buildings.

Skyhouse has two principal purposes: to help create a joyful, supportive, and fulfilling environment for the lives of its members, and to help in the growth of Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage.

Members share a strong sense of environmental awareness and are committed to the Dancing Rabbit ecological covenants [1] Other values that the current members of Skyhouse share are consensus decision making, nonviolence, toleration of various dietary preferences, commitment to personal growth and embracing diversity, and the empowerment of women and all individuals.

The community generates income from a collection of sources including telecommuting, nonprofit office work, graphic design, editing and layout, beer brewing, solar panel sales and installation, and computer repair. The income from these activities are shared among its members.
Skyhouse runs a computer consulting firm called Skyhouse Consulting [2] that does database programming, website design, and web hosting.

Skyhouse members live in a 6 bedroom strawbale house.
Interests of Skyhouse include or have included the Grateful Dead, Ultimate Frisbee, Brak, Dance Dance Revolution, veganism, homebrewing, computer games, gardening, foreign travel, and bicycling.

Skyhouse moved from Berkeley, CA to Missouri in 1996 as part of the founding of Dancing Rabbit.
