Pavel Batov

Pavel Ivanovich Batov (1897–1985) was a Red Army officer during the Second World War and afterwards. He became a Battalion commander with the 1st Rifle Division in 1927. Among his wartime commands were the Soviet Third Army of the Bryansk Front, and, postwar, the Carpathian Military District and the Baltic Military District.
