[edit] Regarding edits made to MySpace

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Paulhorner! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule groups\.myspace\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 03:57, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

You need to discuss the Scientology section that you continually try to add to the MySpace article. This is not well-sourced and largely the result of original research as there is no evidence of any cabal by MySpace against Scientology critics per any secondary sources. I will keep removing it unless there is a consensus for adding it and the content abides by the guidelines of Wikipedia. ju66l3r 06:24, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

This won't ever happen again.

[edit] The Bridge (film)

  • I think you must be the same guy that posted to my talk page. You should try to remember to sign in, so that your actions are all under the one username and not anonymous ip-addresses - usernames are more respected here. At any rate, I responded on my talk page. Smee 19:30, 7 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Userpage

You may wish to add stuff to your User Page. There is some interesting information on User Pages at Wikipedia:User page. Here is the list of Userboxes, and this is some Wikipedia information about Userboxes. Yours, Smee 23:11, 7 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Re: What did I delete on the Church of Scientology page?

Hello,

My warning was issued to an anonymous user who was blanking the page and replacing it with his/her own comments. If you received my message in error, then please disregard it and accept my apologies. --Ann Stouter 02:09, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Warning

With regards to your comments on The Bridge (film): Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Diff --Justanother 02:55, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Paul Horner (talk contribs)

Hi. I noticed that there is another account with a similar name at Paul Horner (talk contribs). I recognize that this other account has not been active since December 2005, but if the other account was also opened by you it would be good for you to redirect its pages to your current account in an effort to be transparent about the fact that you have opened and actively edited using multiple accounts over time (per the third paragraph on WP:SOCK). I'd be happy to help you forward these pages to this current account if I'm correct in my assumption that this was an old account that you had forgotten about or forgotten the password. Thanks. ju66l3r 05:34, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Glad I could help. I redirected your old account pages to these current pages. Since you have very few edits on the old account, it shouldn't be too big of a problem. I also modified your current user page to add a link back to your old account page for transparency. The link will loop back to the same page as a sort of self-reference, but anyone paying attention will notice the redirect and be able to access your old contributions if they felt the dire urge.
I'm happy to discuss the issues with you at The Bridge (film) talk page. Just remember that while intelligent discussion is fun and rewarding, the ultimate goal is to build to something we can all agree on based on the merits of the arguments presented and their foundation in the policies and guidelines of the Wikipedia project. Sometimes argumentation for the sake of the argument or enjoyment of it is counter-productive. I don't feel this is necessarily the case, just a word of caution as you work to improve Wikipedia. Thanks. ju66l3r 06:05, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Another perspective on Justanother

I'm sorry to just show up on your talk page like this, but I couldn't help but notice you have been accused of making personal attacks by Justanother. I've also noticed that you have been making a good faith effort to explain that you were just kidding and apologize. I'm not saying you should take back your apology, and I hope your attempt to come to an understanding with him has more luck than mine did.

What appears to be happening to you has similarities with a series quarrels that I and several other editors have had with him on a few different articles related to Scientology. From what I have seen, he is very sensitive about Scientology and L Ron Hubbard in general. Whether he realizes it or not much of his editing is devoted to removing information which does not portray the CoS in a positive way, like article I was editing when I met him. [edit] WikiProject updates

  • I have done some updating to the WP:SCN, added some new articles, added a "to do" list to the top of the project, and fixed up some categories and assessment stuff. I suggest we should all pick one article at a time, or at most two, to work on bringing up to Featured Article status. You could give input on the project's talk page... I think this may be of interest to you. Kind regards, Orsini 06:18, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Personal attack on you by User:Justanother

This edit here by User:Justanother is grossly uncivil per WP:CIVIL and personal attacks are not allowed on Wikipedia per WP:NPA. As a new editor, I invite you to read these policies and to also note WP:DR. Kind regards, Orsini 01:57, 14 March 2007 (UTC) PS: The guideline WP:DFTT is also helpful to remember. Best, Orsini 01:59, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Paul, I don't know you and you sure as hell don't know me but you might want to be careful who you take your cues from here. There are "anti-Scientologist" editors and admins here that know to leave the crap at the door when they come in here. Then there are those that are clueless. And there are those in-between. We have yet to see where you will end up but you are not off to a good start. But it is early. Please review WP:AGF. --Justanother 02:52, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
I hope Paulhorner will read the policies of Wikipedia and take clues from them, not from those of any individual editor. Making personal attacks and biting new editors is not in the spirit of this project, nor is the removal of well cited and reliable material in conflict with an editor's personal beliefs. Orsini 03:23, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Amen. --Justanother 03:29, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Amen indeed. Personal attacks as Justanother calling me a liar is unacceptable and I will make sure to watch out for making comments like that in the future. You summed it up perfectly by saying that just because somebody removes well cited and reliable material, it is not in conflict with their beliefs. Thank you and I will read the policies of Wikipedia that you speak of.Paulhorner 04:12, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
