This article contains only one reference to the fact that Pressler is chief executive officer of the Gap; the rest is a laborious rehash of his tenure with Disney, which seems extremely lopsided.
- I have nothing to do with this article, but is your objection that there is no information about Pressler being CEO of Gap, Inc., or that the Disney information is somehow biased? If it is the former as your comment might lead one to believe, perhaps using Template:expand on the article might be better. If you think the Disney information is biased, list what your objections are so that they can be addressed by someone familiar with the subject. — Bellhalla 04:18, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

I also have nothing to do with this article, but I would agree both that the article is negligent insofar as it makes almost no mention of Pressler's current employment, and also the article is not impartial in its exposition of Pressler's previous job in that it seems to have been written by a person with strong, biased feelings about his tenure at Disney.
Specifically, comments such as the following -- presented as fact -- are difficult to verify and seem difficult to believe: "[Pressler] believed that eating and shopping was the only reason people came to Disneyland." Similarly, many statements presented as fact are simply untrue, e.g.: "[Disney management] could not ignore the deafening outcries of Disney park fans, and Pressler and Harriss left for The Gap, Inc., amid much the disapproval of the park." While there may have been complaints about Pressler and Harriss, it is hardly true that these complaints form the impetus for their departure.
In short, this article is not in keeping with the spirit of Wikipedia, as it presents only a narrow view of the subject matter, is clearly biased, and in general serves as more of an editorial article than a presentation of impartial fact.206.16.32.135 20:50, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
"Pressler was letting negligence increase at Disney theme parks all over the world" is one of many unsubstantiated allegations against Pressler. Where do we have any proof that negligence went up at Disneyland theme parks all over the world or that Pressler was somehow 'letting' this happen? I was a Disneyland employee in the mid 80s. I worked as an Attractions Host in Tomorrowland. It bothered me immensely when Pressler redid Tomorrowland as every ride I worked was destroyed. And I have said some of the same things that this article says as far as his emphasis on marketing and not 'getting' the spirit of Disneyland. However, it's disconcerting to find an article in a source that proports to be neutral be so blatantly biased. Wikipedia article cannot simply repeat unsubstantiated accusations. I don't see how the article can be cleaned up without removing most of it, as its essence is an attack on Pressler, and I don't know enough about him to rewrite it from scratch. While I would prefer all controversial stuff removed totally, upon reflection, the negative opinions of Pressler's tenure are fact, as easily documented at mouseplanet.com. So I did a severe edit of the existing material on that, attempting to state the fan/employee objections in a neutral manner. Also, I took out the stuff about Harriss' performance as it's not relevant to Pressler, and this is HIS entry.
The article is still not neutral, in my opinion, however. Pressler's tenure at Disney certainly had controversy for a small group of interested observers and parkgoers, but he clearly presided over a period of growth and profit, and that angle should be an important part of this profile.ycartreel 19:52, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
