Paulo Rink

Paulo Roberto Rink (born February 21, 1973 in Curitiba, Brazil) is a German-Brazilian football player who plays for Atlético Paranaense.

He began his career playing for Atlético Paranaense. After a solid career with Atletico, he negotiated with Bayer Leverkusen, and he was transfered there for 6 million dollars,the highest amount paid by an Atlético Paranaense player that time. He remained there for four year, having a break for six months, playing for Santos FC.

He was naturalized as German and, in October 1998, was called to the German national team by the their manager Berti Vogts. Being the first Brazilian to play for German national team, the attacker played in friendlies with Romania and Malta. A year afterwards, still playing for the Bayer, once again was called, this time for the Confederations Cup, in the Mexico. Later years did quick action in Brazil but soon returned to the Europe; passed for another two years for Bayer and then for other two German teams 1. FC Nürnberg and Energie Cottbus.

He has played also for several clubs, including Santos FC, 1. FC Nürnberg, Energie Cottbus, Olympiakos Nicosia and Omonia Nicosia. He has also played for the German national football team in the 2000 UEFA European Championship.

He has played for several clubs, including Jeonbuk FC, Vitesse Arnhem, Olympiakos Nicosia and Omonia Nicosia. He currently plays for the team he deputed Atlético Paranaense.
