Paulo Cesar Duque-Estrada is Professor and Chairman of the Philosophy Department of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro).

He received both his B.A. and his M.A. from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and his Ph.D. from Boston College. In 1999-2000 he developed a post-doctoral research program on the subject of Hermeneutics and Deconstruction at New School for Social Research, New York.
[edit] Study Group in Ethics and Deconstruction
In 2002 he founded, along with some of his post-graduate students, the Study Group in Ethics and Deconstruction (NEED- Núcleo de Estudos em Ética e Desconstrução), dedicated to the thought of the French philosopher Jacques Derrida.
