Paulo Lourenço Martins Alves, commonly shortened to Paulo Alves (born December 10, 1969 in Vila Real, Portugal) is a former Portuguese footballer and current manager of Gil Vicente, in the Portuguese Liga de Honra.

As a player, Alves played for Gil Vicente, Tirsense, CS Marítimo, Sporting Braga, Sporting CP, Bastia and União Leiria. He also represented the Portuguese national team scoring 6 goals in 13 appearances.
