Paulie Pennino (born 1940) is a fictional character from the Rocky series. In all the movies, he is played by actor Burt Young. He is the close friend/brother-in-law of Rocky Balboa, the older brother of the late Adrian Pennino (who becomes Balboa's wife), and the uncle of Robert (Rocky) Balboa Jr.. Pennino is also a hardcore alcoholic, has a cynical behavior, and usually gives out negative comments, much to the dislike of his brother-in-law. He currently still lives with his brother-in-law Rocky Balboa.
