Paul Xuereb (21 July 1923 - 6 September 1994), Maltese political figure, was acting president of Malta from 1987 to 1989.
As Malta's Head of State for two years, he is sometimes listed as a president, but was never officially sworn in as one. Years after his death, his wife said on local television that her husband's wish was to be considered as president rather than "acting president".
