Paul "Kwickfish" Wasicka (born February 17, 1981 in Dallas, Texas) is a professional poker player, based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Paul Wasicka started playing poker in 2004 when he attended an underground tournament in Denver, CO. He formerly worked as a bartender and restaurant manager before shifting over to poker. Wasicka finished as runner-up to Jamie Gold in the 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event, winning over $6,000,000.
Wasicka has had some success since the WSOP, including a 12th place finish at the 2007 Aussie Millions (winning $96,000), and a final table appearance at the WPT LA Poker Classic where he finished 4th and won $455,615.
On March 4, 2007, Wasicka won the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship by defeating Eli Elezra, Joe Hachem, T.J. Cloutier, Nam Le, Shannon Elizabeth, and finally Chad Brown in the finals 2-0. For the win he earned $500,000.
As of 2007, his total live tournament winnings exceed $7,390,000
