Paul Varley

Paul Varley (born May 24, 1952 in Preston, Lancashire, England) was the drummer of The Arrows pop group.
He played on several top 30 hit records, including "Touch Too Much," "My Last Night With You" and "I Love Rock 'N' Roll". The band The Arrows hosted their own TV series The Arrows Show on Granada ITV Television in the UK, 1976-77.
Paul Varley has also played with the bands Purple Haze, Little Free Rock, Ginger Johnson's African Drums, Darling, and The Hitchermen.
Paul Varley is currently in "The Cupcake Shamrocks" although the future of the band is currently in jeopardy according to a press statement, released 01/02/2007, citing "musical differences" to be a the cause of disagreement between band members. Fans of the band, who's repetiore includes "Arrrrgh Yes", "What Seems To Be The Officer Problem" & "Frank Smokes, Willy Don't, He Likes It" may be waiting for longer than first thought for the anticipated summer 2007 release of an EP titled "Winners".
