Paolo (Paul) Vittorio Trimboli (born February 25, 1969) is a former Australian international football (soccer) player of Italian ancestry.
He earned 48 caps with the Socceroos, and also had a distinguished career with South Melbourne FC in the NSL. He was regarded as one of the league's finest strikers. Trimboli twice won the award for best under 21 player (in 1988 & 1989), as well as twice winning the award for player of the season, the Johnny Warren Medal (for the 1992/3 & 1997/8 seasons). Trimboli has said, however, that he would not enter the coaching arena as he would prefer to pursue other opportunities.[citation needed]
In 2006, Trimboli is a commentator on SEN 1116's A-League and Victorian Premier League coverage.
Paul attended school at Kostka Hall in Brighton and then moved onto the Xavier College Senior School in Kew. Paul Graduated in 1987.
