Paul Oestreich

Paul Hermann August Oestreich (born 30 March 1878 in Kolberg, Germany - died 28 February 1959 in Berlin) was a German educator.

He studied 1896-1900 at the University of Berlin and University of Greifswald, mathematics, philosophy, pedagogy and new languages. From 1901 he was teacher, from 1905 "Studienrat" in Berlin-Schöneberg.

In 1919, he founded the "Bund entschiedener Schulreformer" and led it until 1933.

From 1945-1949, Oestreich was "Hauptschulrat" in Berlin-Zehlendorf, from 1949 to 1950 in the "Hauptschulamt" of the Magistrat of Groß-Berlin Dezernent for higher education.
