Paul Maxwell (b. 12 November 1921, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, d. 19 December 1991, London, England, UK) was an actor working mostly in British television and films, where, not surprisingly, he was usually cast as an American. In terms of audience, his biggest part was probably as Elsie Tanner's ex-GI bridegroom in her 1967 wedding on the long-running and widely popular soap-opera Coronation Street.

He was particularly in demand on shows made by ITC and Gerry Anderson's production company, as there were plenty of American parts in such shows. Unlike fellow expatriate actors such as Ed Bishop, he was never picked for a part in a James Bond movie.
