Paul Lacoste (football player)

Paul Lacoste, born September 3, 1974, was an award winning linebacker in the Canadian Football League.

Lacoste played his college football at Mississippi State University and was an All SEC and 2nd Team All American all star.

He signed with the B.C. Lions of the CFL in 1999, where he had a great season, second on the team with 78 tackles, an all star and winner of the CFL's Most Outstanding Rookie Award. He had a late start to the 2000 season, after an NFL tryout, and was later cut by the Lions.

In 2000 he was signed by the NFL's Indianapolis Colts on January 25, but was released on August 21 of the same year.

2001 saw Lacoste play for the Memphis Maniax of the XFL, where he made 4 tackles.

Next, in 2002, he signed with the Dallas Desperados of the Arena Football League on May 23, but was cut the very next day.

In 2003 the Colts allocated Lacoste to NFL Europe, where he was to play for the Amsterdam Admirals.

Finally, in 2006 he is now owner and head trainer of Next Level Sports, a speed training specialist firm. Lacoste has a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Mississippi State University.
