Paul L Martin

Paul L Martin was born in Canterbury, Kent on 20 June 1975. He moved to London to study musical theatre in 1994 and has been performing in the capital ever since.
Paul has been performing in cabarets for 15 years. He has run shows for many London venues including The Theatre Museum, The Old Vic, Kabaret, The Zetter and Too2Much and has appeared in such prestigious venues as Jermyn Street Theatre, Hackney Empire, Café Royale, Café de Paris and the Royal Vauxhall Tavern at cult club DUCKIE.
He made his New York debut in 2005 at Don’t Tell Mama, where one critic named him a ‘British Cabaret Icon’. He debuted in Australia in 2006 at The Butterfly Club in Melbourne.
Paul originally trained in musical theatre and still works in musicals and on TV. He won Musical Stages’ ‘Best Actor in a Musical’ Award in 2003 for his role as Syliva St. Croix in the British Premiere of Ruthless! and created the role of Philip Salon for the Boy George musical Taboo.
