Paul Field
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Paul Field and his brother Anthony Field, were both members of a popular Australian band, The Cockroaches. They were a success with their pub style music in the early 80's. After the Cockroaches stopped touring, Paul formed a rockabilly band called The Sacred Hearts. His brother Anthony was also in this band, along with another former Cockroaches member, Jeff Fatt. Anthony and Jeff became busy with another group aimed at a much younger audience - The Wiggles.
Paul is one of 8 children born to John and Marie Field. He had an older sister, Mary, who is now deceased. Then came siblings Maria, Patrick and Colleen, with Paul born next. His younger siblings are John (of the John Field Band) Anne and Anthony (the baby of the family, and now world famous as the blue shirt wearing Wiggle. The Wiggles are big in the preschool set.)
Paul and his wife, Pauline are parents to Luke, Clare, Joseph and Dominic. They lost a daughter, Bernadette at the age of 7 months to the disease, SIDS. Whether called cot death in Australia or crib death in the United States, Paul and his wife continue to promote research. He was jokingly bestowed with the title "Godfather of the Wiggly Staff" on the Wiggles Message Board. He is the behind the scenes master of much of the "Wiggly World" and is occasionally seen in bits of the Wiggles videos.
