Paul Cooper

Paul Cooper (b. 21 December 1953, Staffordshire) is a former English professional footballer.
Having started out for Birmingham City as a goalkeeper apprentice, he moved to Ipswich Town in 1974 where he spent the majority of his career and represented the club almost 450 times. He was renowned amongst the fans at Portman Road for his ability to save penalties.
He left the club in 1987 and finished his professional career with nearly two seasons at Leicester City and a season each at Manchester City and Stockport County.
