Paul Connolly (born September 29, 1983 in Liverpool, England) is Defender for English football league club Plymouth Argyle.

A powerful right-back who loves to get forward, Shelly has developed an excellent partnership with on the right side with David Norris and is a superb crosser of the ball.

He came through the youth ranks at Argyle to make his league debut in the final game of the 2000-01 season.

He helped the team to gain promotion to League 1 and to the Coca-Cola Championship a year later.

There is no doubt who Argyle's first-choice right-back will be for the forthcoming seasons.
