The Paul Bunyan Trail was part of the Burlington Northern rail lines abandoned in 1983. It has been converted to a multi-use, recreational trail. It covers a distance of 100 miles the first 50 of them are paved. [1] It connects 16 communities between Baxter and Lake Bemidji State Park near Bemidji. Paul Bunyan is a mythical/legendary logger.
